I met someone yesterday (in his early 20's) that knew everything. If I said the grass was green he would inform me that grass is purple. Annoying

Do you know someone like this?

I am like this, and I've actually seen purple grass. Apparently you also know someone who's infinitely richer and more successful than you will ever be.

The question is was he right? It only counts as douchebaggery if they act that way but are incorrect.

A 20 year old knows more than you?

Sorry, but the older generations have effectively ruined the country. We're going to need these 20 year old know-it-alls to have a fighting chance at fixing the mess that is being left to us.

The only was to deal with a one upper is to make up the most extravagant story ever and see if they realize that they are being a jackass.

When I was 20-something, I knew it all. And, now, I know even more! :)

I find that it's worse with older people (say, 45+). Most young people I know realize they don't know everything; most old people love to give terrible advice that might've made sense when they were 20, but is worse than worthless now. But I guess your mileage varies.

The more one becomes educated the more they realize how little they truly know.

You're old and have accomplished nothing, how does that feel?

thanks you got me on that one. mediocrity is great i guess and seeing how i havent accomplished anything thats even better. I hope you can come up with better stuff then this. you always reply to stuff like this. Im pround you keep repeating yourself to people that dont agree with you. I thought someone that claims to be educated could come up with something that wasnt so repetitive.

Thanks for validating my assumption. The first step to mediocrity is admitting that you're life is nothing greater than average. I'm half your age, and I've already accomplished more than you ever will. So next time you think about the whole "young people don't know shit, haven't had a job, I know everything" type cliche that old shits like you like to throw around, remember me.
