It amazes me that a student could be considered "at-risk" academically at an SEC. Outside of Vandy and Florida, every student at a SEC school would be at-risk at a Big Ten school.

"Billy, we're going to have to let you go. We weren't sure our tutors could carry half the team through finals without a hitch, but by golly, they got 'er dun!!! And you were basically a back-up scout-team player we only signed because we knew we'd have a few 0.5s if the tutors couldn't come through for us. So, yeah...here's the phone numbers for some Sun Belt coaches...good luck!"

Saban understands unequivocally that he's been the poster boy for everything that's wrong with oversigning, and he's equally aware that he's been accused of running off players.

But....but.....but Saban's an upstanding, big time college football coach. He wouldn't cheat or lie or anything to win national championships.

I dunno....maybe Tressel would fit in better in the SEC. They know how to get it done the right way.
