No, I'm not whining about that. It's just that you guys clamor about how everyone should feel like idiots on this and then never do the same in regards to Obama.

I'll admit that I jumped the gun a bit on this one. Though I still think her using it as a sort of parrellel for a 2nd Amendment issue is ridiculous as that's not what Lexington and Concord were about but whatever. My point is that neither side ever does the right thing when they are wrong. Never saw a "oh shit, that Thailand trip isn't costing 32434234234234 trillion dollars because that would be ridiculous and we never even looked into the numbers at all before lambasting everyone about it our bad."

And I get disenfranchised with all the QQing about the msm because of stuff like the Palin newspaper thing. She's not necessarily an idiot because of the way she answered that question but her and her supporters are terribly off base for how they reacted to it. "I was caught off guard by the question and I'm not quite use to interviews where I don't know the general questions that are going to be asked, I certainly can name the newspapers I read and I'll work on trying to be a bit better during interviews". If that's the tone and way her and her camp handled that sort of thing then I would not have near as much of a problem. But turning every single time someone says "no, that's not right" or thinks she handled a situation poorly, or answered a question in a dumb/incorrect manner into a "well they're just using their mainstream media gotcha machine" is bullshit.

In summation, I and a lot of people may have overreacted as to the stupidity of Palin's statements in regards to Revere (though I still believe the way she said it was stupid and confusing) and for that we should try to be better. However, everytime someone questions or thinks a Republican candidate says or does something stupid or untrue the "the MSM is out to get them" engine turns on and not the "let's see who's right" engine. I'd prefer the latter. Same thing for criticisms of Obama on Fox applies though. Instead of "well it's on Fox so you know it's..." I'd rather everyone look into it and find out whether what they said actually was true. And if we're going to be harsh on "MSM" or Fox we also have to be harsh on the others.

Oh come on, "may have", even in the humor websites I read every now and then they are still clueless as to the whole situation - yet are ignoring comedy gold (Gold, Jerry, Gold!) with Rep. Weiner - the joke practically tells itself. Joking aside you would think LYING to the American public for a week would mean more than Palin's Harley riding, but that's just me.

And I've seen a whole bunch of stuff on CNN and all the other news stations about Rep. Weiner's Weiner.

Where's Jon Stewart? Granted, I find him unfunny, smug and a POS, not nearly on the same level of Maher (can you believe he actually tried to pass himself as a Libertarian?) - but where are they?

This was obvious from day 1. Just like the Duke lacrosse case. Rational, smart people knew it was BS from day 1, yet the defendants involved were dragged along the "liberal" spectrum - Likewise rational, smart people knew there was something up with Weiner (I and other people posted this) from day 1. You don't just randomly have a hacker send a crotch-shot from your twitter account and you certainly don't fail to outright reject the occurrence if you are innocent.

I don't agree much with Stewart or Maher but I think Maher is tad bit funnier.

Weiner is (at least last I saw) defiant in his press conference -- saying he won't resign, even though it would absolutely be the right thing to do.

If he were a Republican, I can assure you he'd be tossed (by the party) and wouldn't have to worry about trying to run again; so he'd have no choice.

With Dems it's always a different matter, it seems. They don't call for the heads of their own as a general rule. They like being in power too much and don't care if it's a lying scumbag in office...so long as he has the (D) next to his name.
