What an amazing display of good offense by the Tribe and terrible pitching by the Royals. Bases loaded again and Tribe up 14-1 after Travis Buck delivers another hit lol.

Francisco is making it interesting in Detroit. Tigers have tying run at the dish with 1 out. Peralta already with a homer in the 9th.

I said in the Mariners thread that those two days off may actually benefit our offense to clear their heads after all those tough pitchers we faced.

Im 99.9% sure Brantley was an integral part of getting the deal done. We wanted him and not Escobar (or the other guy I cant think of) and the BrewCrew didnt want to part with him and LaPorta, but we said that or no trade. He wasnt a PTBNL.

EDIT: You are correct, he was the PTBNL. But he was always going to be the player as long as CC fulfilled certain requirement performance wise. If CC fell short, it was going to be the other guy I cant think of...Mat Gamel I think is the name.

Bascially, it wasnt the typical throw-in guy. We were going to get a top prospect out of it, just depended on if we got the guy we coveted, or the guy the Brewers were willing to give up.

Just for a night, how about that CC trade.

5-5, 8 RBI's, 1 homer, 2 doubles, and 3 walks.

I am 100% sure that Brantley was the PTBNL, I just looked it up before posting.

LaPorta, Bryson?, Jackson and then Brantley named later.

Jays survive. Inge damn near tied it, but came up just shy of a 2 run homer. Jays 4 Tigers 2. Indians will pickup a game on them.

Yeah, I remember it was Brantley, Gamel, or some other guy to be added in.

We wanted Escobar and LaPorta, but those were the #1 and #2 prospects in their farm. Either way LaPorta and Brantley are looking like they will be every day starters for the Indians going into the future. The trade has actually been better than I thought. LaPorta's offense is getting around and his defense at 1st has been very good.

Didn't they trade Escobar though?

So this is what it's like to face a pitcher (pitchers) with eras above 3.

And we're not trading Grady.

Tomlin gets out of the jam.

He has once again given the Indians at least 5 innings.

To the Royals! lol. He has been "ok", good fielder and not so good bat. Gamel hasnt done squat that Im aware of, and Taylor Green (the other guy I think, 3B) is just getting ML playing time. But so far, Brantley looks to be the best out of the highly touted farm team the Brewers had, and LaPorta is the second best. But as I said, Green is still really young.

Green was the other player I was thinking of.

LaPorta and Brantley continue to impress me. LaPorta battled some injuries last season but he has seemed to have gotten on track this season. Most people questioned his ability to play 1st base and he has impressed me at that position.

Just can't say enough about Brantley.

Now, if we can get the Lee trade going that would be great. Jason Donald may not find any room to break into the infield with the thought of Lonnie coming up later in the season. Carrasco has had his chances but needs to take control of them.
