Sad ending for one of the all time great hitters!! Atleast he is going to go out his own way with his family.

I got to meet and spend time with him a few years ago. He was awesome to be around and told some great stories in the short time I was around.

One of the All-Time Greats and the heart of the Minnesota Twins. His kind come along very rarely and he will certainly be missed, but he will leave us all many great memories and a baseball legacy for the ages.

Not uncommon knowledge but cancer is some nasty shit. I was shocked when Gene Upshaw (NFL) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on a Sunday and was dead by Wednesday.

RIP
