It appears to be taken from an ESPN page

Wait what is awful? That the kid is dead? That they are talking about who is going to replace the dead kid's spot? Nick Saban wears man thongs?

Fine one more and I give up. Apparently I thought it was worse to talk about replacing a kid on the football team in the same breath as announcing his death then other people.

He's dead. it's an unfortunate thing, but it's not like this news link broke the story. They were simply talking about replacements to his position since he is no longer alive.

Don't be so sensitive

This. Regardless of the unfortunate and tragic circumstances (which has been in the media down south before this), there is a hole to fill. They can't just plug it with a ceremonial wreath, and sports sites are going to talk about the sports side of it.

Almost like when a local sportscaster asked immediately following the state finals game to a cancer stricken coach if that was going to be his last game he ever coaches. (the coach died within 6 months.)

I think this is the initial "story" that broke. Definitely in bad taste.

However, both "articles" are extremely irresponsible coming from a major corporation. I don't see how anyone can justify it. I think Alabama fans can afford to wait on discussing a replacement LT.
