The last poll (week 5) will come out next week. For the 2nd to last poll that came out today, what are your thoughts? Here are a few of mine:
  • DI - Butler listed as the new #1 ahead of #2 Moeller, and Moeller beat Butler head-to-head on Friday.
  • DII - Walsh Jesuit surpasses Steubenville as the #1 team, but I believe Walsh, too, lost a game last week. Hopefully these two powerhouses don't have to meet until as late as possible in the tournament.
  • DIII - In the Week 3 poll last week, Triway was listed at 11-2 and #15. This past week Triway improved their record to 16-2 but appears as 10-2 and #18 in the most recent poll, with 6 teams with 5+ losses ahead of them.
  • DIII - Canton Central Catholic beat St. Eds and dropped out of the top 20.
  • DIV - Hiland beat DI #11 Massillon Washington (was #3) and has been dominating everyone else they've played, and they remain at #3 in DIV... but it's tough to get much higher than that.
Good luck to all the teams as tournament games begin/continue.

From another site:
Walsh got murdered twice this weekend, 17-11, and 13-3 (with 8 errors, in 5 innings); they are nothing like the team of past years-- Ross is a much better team than Walsh, from what I have seen... probably others are as well.

You get your wish. If they meet it will be in the finals.

In DIII:
Triway is now 18-2, 11-2 in the PAC-7 and clinches the outright championship ahead of Tuslaw, Indian Valley, and CVCA.
Tuslaw is at 20-6, 10-4 in the PAC-7.

The two teams split in the regular season and could potentially meet in the DIII Creston District Semifinal.

Saw in paper today Rittman is 18-4, I think they warrant a ranking. Also congrats to the tribe on their league title
