Aidan is my favorite boy name but I'd never use it because it's so popular. Other than that I wouldn't consider using any of them.

My daughters name is on that list. We thought about not using it thinking she might have a few classmates withthe same name (would hate to have her referred to with a last initial), so far so good on that. We the name picked out long (family name) ago before it became re-popular due to popular culture.

Jayden?! Seriously? I don't know that I have ever heard that name before and it is the fourth most popular.

We talked about Ethan as a first name and Alexander as a middle name (I was pushing for Joseph Alexander for awhile), but ending up deciding on Caleb.

I really hope the Aiden/Cayden/Jayden/Brayden things stops soon. I'm convinced that every little kid I meet has one of those names.

I have a Jacob and an Abilgal (it's her middle name) and that's it. But I have lots of great nieces and newphews on the list. Funny how names that were once considered old fashioned are now very in.

Two of my best friends named their oldest son Haiden and Ayden. I don't like the trend either.

Also, Caleb was almost my name.

I'm surprised Billy Bob and Jethro didn't make the list. Are you disappointed?

As a fan of NCIS I am upset Jethro didn't make it.

The girl's list is pretty much a roll call of my daughter's friends/classmates. She's 11 and her name (Arizzona) likely won't be showing up on this list.

My wife seems to have a thing for common names - my stepson's name is Dylan, just like 6 other kids in his class (2nd grade). Then she tried desperately to talk me into Aiden for our (now) 2 year old. I know of at least 4 Aidens (various spellings) who will start school at the same time as our son. Glad to have avoided that, but it was a source of hostility for a good long time. Fortunately I prevailed and didn't have to scramble for the little bastard's birth/entrance music. Had that one planned since March 31, 1986 when Falco hit #1 with "Rock Me Amadeus".

All these names are stupid. You're kid is not special because they have a weird ass name. All my boys will be named Jon, and my girl is named Beth.

I'm actually pissed that Aidan is as popular as it is. I fell in love with it was I was about 6 or 7 because it was my neighbors name (he was in high school at the time). I had never heard of it and it stayed that way until I was in about middle school. After that is was everywhere. BOOOO!

Wildcats is #1 on the list but at least Jacob isn't a lame trendy name.

If Mantooth has another kid (if it's possible to impregnate your hand), I wouldn't be stunned if he named it Tobias.
