Does anyone have / know of a good Excel budget template that they use for tracking personal finances? I searched Microsoft and found some templates, but I couldn't find anything that I really liked.
Thanks in advance.

I'd rather have something that caters to my specific needs than a carbon copy of what works for someone else. Don't be so testy, we buckeyes got to stick together.

My coworker raves about this site. I've never really needed a personal budget...but I'm guessing it couldn't hurt.I Wear Pants;756318 wrote:Mint.com

What are you looking to do? Excel works well, I know you don't want to reinvent the wheel. My wife and I keep track with Excel and envelopes for food, gas, entertainment, weekly allowance, clothes, and getting her hair done.

1) Whoever said I was going to use it as a carbon copy and not modify it to my own specific needs?
and
2) You're not a Buckeye. [Unfortunately] I've read your spew on the College Football forum and am well aware of your ploy.

Well... I'm currently living in Cleveland, OH and in a few months my company is going to be transferring me to Irvine, CA. Obviously the budget out there is going to be significantly tighter, so I'm interested in tracking my expenses and seeing where I can "tighten the belt" so to speak.

Hmmmm.... Mint.com sounds pretty nice. I'm highly skeptical, however, about tying in my banking account to a "third-party" site.

2) My degree says otherwise.

They're legit as hell. Use the same security that your bank does and the way they do it makes it impossible for there to be any transfers from their connection.
Read this page to feel more secure of it. https://www.mint.com/how-it-works/security/
I've been using mint for a few years now and I love it.

mint is probably the best. i use it pretty regularly.
if you don't want to link all of your personal account info on mint (it's pretty secure, but i also understand wanting to be precautious), i also have several spreadsheets that dave ramsey followers have created. i can't attach them otherwise i would.
the website i found them on is

Mint is good. I've thought about doing something more organized in the past but never got around to it with all my different accounts such as multiple checking, savings, 401k, sharebuilder etc.
