Ok...probably not the best city in the world...but my lady friend and I are planning a weekend trip to Pittsburgh. Why? Well, it's because it's the halfway point between where we both live and it's on the Megabus line. Anyway, neither one of us will have a car, so we'll be walking or taking a taxi everywhere. Maily looking for places that will most likely be downtown or around downtown. Movies, restaurants, parks, all that fun stuff. Any suggestions?
Never been to Pittsburgh before.

^Yea, I shoulda probably mentioned bar hopping would be a must. It's gunna be hilarious, she's a rabid Raven's fan, and I'm a Browns fan. Probably the most hated city between the both of us lol.

Pittsburgh is a blast, strip district is very fun.
I'm a Browns fan, born in Cleveland, and have an innate hatred of Pittsburgh...but i can easily admit that it is a really cool city, and doing darn well, considering the shape of other cities in the rust belt. Neat place.

The Strip District has mostly died off as far as night life goes. If your looking to bar hop, I would suggest Carson Street on the South Side. MULTIPLE bars and clubs all within walking distance of each other.

You must attend a Pirate game and see the best ballpark in America. Some weekends you can take a tour of Heinz Field and when you leave there just walk across the street and visit the Carnegie Science Center. Then take a boat ride across the river and visit Station Square where there are alot of shopping and bars. Enjoy the City of Champions.

I like the theatre district, although you'd have to check and see what's playing when you are there. You can still go to PNC even though the Pirates are in Colorado.

there used to be a decent club at Station Square that was fun.
Strip district isnt too bad. I like Rolands Seafood place...its pretty good. You can go to a place..forget its name......Peppi's I think...to eat the Roethlisberger Sub....... Duquence incline....if ya have some jack ya can eat up on the Mt looking the city.
Casino right next to Heinz field if you like to gamble. Diddo on tour of Heinz if they have it. Been to the stadium 12-15 times for games but it isnt until I took a tour till ya really get to see the cool stuff and it wansnt too expensive.
If pirates are home..you can find tix dirt cheap.
Gotta try a Primanti Bro's sandwich.....one is locate in strip district

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll have time to take a tour of Heinz Field. But, we'll definitely go to some of the food spots, and probably head to the Strip District or Carson Street.

There was a place in McKees Rock......20 bucks to get in....buy your first draft beer and the rest of the beer is free. Its the adult ballet..so if your lady friend/mistress/internet hookup/ is into that......
