So, AJ Green
WR from Georgia. #1 target, great hands, downfield threat, will attempt to block for the running game. Is this the end for Chad OchoJohnon
Shouldn't I be jumping for joy? Oh wait, Jordan Palmer is scheduled to be the starter unless they draft a QB today
Will they take Dalton, Mallett, Kapernick, with the 3rd pick in round 2
To be honest, I want a safety more than anything, but I think they can get value in 3rd round.
In a perfect world the Bengals get Akeem Ayers (OLB from UCLA) play him at outside, move Rey Mal to inside
and let Carson Palmer either retire or play.

Sign someone that can throw him the ball and you have a probowler for a lot of years.

I have not so quietly been hoping the NFL goes on strike so I don't have to put up with Mike Brown this year. I need a sabbatical from his painful management.

LOL...you may now have a converted Bengals fan in Mantooth since he thinks AJ Green is so "dreamy.'
I think they will take Dalton with their 2nd rounder. Gruden's brother has major wood for him.

BTW...as far as your Palmer comments go, a guy over on one of the Browns boards who lives in the Cincy area ran into your DT, Peko, at the grocery store and asked him if he thought Palmer would retire. Peko said "I'll believe THAT when I see it."
Said Peko was a very personable guy and even took a pic and signed an autograph for his kid. In parting, the Browns fan said "hey, take it easy on Steinbach this year" to which Peko said "I'll see what I can do", laughing.

Don't fool yourself. I've heard the stories of what you'd do for a Klondike Bar.

Bengals were dumb not to take that trade from the Falcons, but I am happy they didn't.

Maybe you can pick up a QB with the 1st overall pick in next years draft. Pryor?

I like your optimism. I'm thinking we should trade up for Akili Smith.

Coming into this draft, the QB I have hoped the Bengals would pick is Dalton. I have a feeling (based on nothing other than watching him play many times) he will be, at worst, a Matt Hasselbeck type (good/very good for many years), and possibly better than that. Of course, he could go the way of David Klingler too
While part of me doesn't want to ever see Carson P. in a Bengal uniform again since he clearly doesn't want to play in Cincinnati, I would actually be happy if he came back, as he could start for the next year/two and (hopefully) Dalton would take over from there. If not, PLEASE NFL settle the labor dispute with enough time to sign a mediocre veteran QB.

I'm a huge Carson Palmer fan. The guy has been a good citizen and hasn't ruffled any feathers prior to today. Part of me doesn't blame him. He's dealt with a bunch of BS on the Bengals, from the front office to the coaching staff to the fellow player personnel. With that said, he's handled it wrong, but I don't think anyone would be against him mending fences and returning to the field. Afterall, even if they draft a QB tonight, Carson Palmer is the better short-term solution for at least the next 1-2 years, and IMO if the Bengals are sold on playing a rookie, then anyone they don't plan on being around in 1-2 years, they should dump them, shed payroll and collect as many future draft picks as possible. Believe it or not, they have built a solid foundation on defense, they have plenty of skill players and outside of a few areas, they have enough to compete for a playoff spot. However, like we've seen with many teams, a weak spot at QB usually nullifies advantages you have in many other places. And I'm afraid that they could go into the 2011 season with a roster balanced enough to make the playoffs but with a major hole at QB that will magnify the problems greater than what they really are.
I guess we'll see, but as a Palmer supporter, I'm still holding out hope that things get worked out.

I love the additions of AJ Green & Andy Dalton...... I'd say in the 3rd round take DeMarco Murray, RB, Oklahoma or Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Oregon State or Ahmad Black, S, Florida....if any are there

I like the pick. Can be the OLB pass rusher we need and it moves Rey to his natural MLB.

You can now convert a Mantooth Bengals fans, because he believed that AJ Green is so "dreamy. 'I think they will use their second round Dalton. Gruden's brother as his main timber...

With the drafting of olb dahntay moch I think that will force Rey Mal to inside lb. Zimmer can still coach a defense. Still need a safety though and to secure the corner position.

Good. Andre Smith has proven to be unreliable.
