I expect nothing but ridicule here, but that's OK. Our dog went missing last night in the storm, and would appreciate any thoughts and prayers.

I'm actually fine and calm, but the wife is FREAKING OUT!

Hey no ridicule from me. I know it sucks when your dog runs away. Hopefully once the storms subside and your dog calms down he will find his way home.

I would be absolutely DEVASTATED if our dog was lost. I don't know what I would do. I'm pretty sure I would be hysterical.

I'd bet living in the country you have a better chance of him finding his way back home.

Small town, but I've contacted the local PD. Don't know if there is anyone else in our town whom people would call.

My buddy is out looking for him (retired teacher) and he said the water dept. people saw him this morning at the local park. That's good news. He said that he's got the whole town looking for him! :) I'll keep you updated.

Boy, have I thought this many, many times. Sucks when it actually happens though. More-so for my wife and daughter.

Three Comments:

I hope you find your dog as a dog love I understand the importance of your best friend ... My wife would also be freaking out. She would have my happy ass out nailing flier on every telephone pole in 4 counties and every store in town would have a flier in the window. We lost a cat once (the only cat we ever owned) never came back and nobody cared.

In the picture .. that a really girlie girl hand…. Who hand is that?

Need a birth certificate?

Had a friend looking for him, who got the water dept.'s help. Mother-in-law also came to help. She found him at our old house, and he kept running from her. She went to the PD and they helped. She stood in our new back yard calling for him. He came back whimpering.
