The remaining six sang a duet and a solo song....Carole King week....and the performances were good.
James Durbin and Jacob Lusk duet....A
Jacob Solo...B+
James Solo...A
Haley and Casey came out of the closet on their duo....A
Haley solo ...A-
Casey solo...A-
The country kids paired for a duet.....B+...but the strength of the performance came from Lauren.
Lauren solo...B
Scotty solo B+
I'd be sending Lauren home tonite, but I feel it'll Jacob.
Tough cuts from now on.

I was only able to see performances from Scotty on. I thought James kicked ass again. And how many times do we have to watch that Casey jackass and his 1940's lounge act? I leave the room when that ass clown comes on stage.

Agreed, the concept of tough cut and Casey is beyond me. He blows, he should never have been saved by the judges. Casey is entering Taylor Hicks territory. I just don't get how the hell he's lasted this long--plus he's annoying as hell.
My early picks were Pia and James. If he doesn't win it now, America has no sense for talent. Scotty will have a very successful country career.

I don't know what pisses me off more, the fact Casey is still on the show or the fact he is banging Haley, despite looking like Seth Rogan's annoying little brother.
In all seriousness, he needs to go. His schtick is lame and as Simon used to always say, the show is to find that person we would hear on the radio one day. I can't picture listening to Casey on the radio for more than five seconds before changing the station.... The Taylor Hicks analogy is perfect.
Btw, my favorite part of last night was looking at J-Lo legs during James/Jacob's duet. The duet, however, sucked.

As much as Jacob is a drama queen and gets on my nerves, I want Scott to go before him. Haley too. Jacob for 3rd, and James and Lauren in the final with James running away with the title.

I cannot see what's so great about Lauren Alaina. She's okay but.....c'mon...she brings very little to the stage. She certainly doesn't have a better voice than Pia Toscano, and her arrangments aren't very interesting. Even if you didn't like Casey's 'growling' at least he put on a show. Why is Lauren still here?
Jacob needs a home run if he's to stay in past this week. Scotty is slumping badly just when he needs to kick it up a notch. Haley is rallying...getting better every week. James has a lock on a finals spot.

She's a country girl--- in fact she is a blonde haired, blue eyed country girl. Middle America loves that. Ditto with Scotty being a country boy. They will continue to stay. After one gets voted off the other will be in the final against James due to all of the votes they pick up from the other.
