I know I shouldn't be starting a game thread, but Votto just drilled a 3 run bomb.

He's good

He sucks.

Oh but he's been on base every game this year. And that streak dates back several games last year as well.

Worry the Reds let Gallardo find a groove, now they are going to be trying to hold on for 5 innings. Hopefully LeCure can keep the Milwaukee bats at bay.

LeCure isn't doing that. From 4-0 to 4-3 pretty quickly.

If Lecure could get through 6 with the lead, I'm very confident because of how well our bullpen has been pitching

Sounds like Dusty wasn't too happy w/ that error by Cairo.

6-6 now in the bottom of the 8th, based loaded with 2 outs. Chapman vs Braun.

Crazy that the Brewers have drawn over 30K for every game this series, including almost 32 today for a noon local start. Good for them.

Chapman gets out of the bases loaded, 1 out jam. And the Reds will bat in the 9th.

The Reds have missed a lot of opportunities today. Outside of Votto's 3-run homer, it has been disappointing. LeCure, like him or not, is a 7th starter. Bailey can't return quick enough.

I have never seen Fielder look so helpless at the plate.
I loved how Hart was caught even though he clearly wasn't stealing. That was an incredible move by Chapman.

Maybe the best I've seen chapman look. He pitched great today. And the move to first was great too.

Chapman has still never allowed a home run. Given his stuff, it's going to be a big deal when someone does go deep on him. Many can catch his fastball, but rarely can they elevate it AND get ahead of it enough to hit it with any power. Nobody really swings at his offspeed stuff.
