What would it take to put TCU over Texas?

I'd love to see the coaches put TCU and Cincy over Texas.....and maybe re-program some computers.

Kickoff out of bounds......

God it just seems rigged.

TCU wasn't incredibly far back.......it could be done but I believe Cincy would have to be ahead of Texas for TCU or Cincy to have a chance.

Didn't LSU jump like 4 teams to get to the title game vs OSU a few years ago?

DO it again.

Yeah Cincy deserves to be in the NC Game after giving up 80 points in their last 2 games.

TCU I will buy.

impossible, tcu will be 4 or 5 in the computers. cincy might be 2 but they will be almost even with texas so texas is a lock.

I agree put TCU ahead of Texas especially since Mack does not believe any of the smaller confernce teams should even have a chance to play for a title.

Hopefully some troublemakers will slide TCU in front of Texas

Texas won by .2 seconds and had 2 very iffy interference calls and a kickoff OB and were completely lackluster with everyone watching

Cincy and Texas have equal deservings IMO

No one will put TCU ahead of Texas. Not one voter, unless the TCU coach has a vote.

What is the difference between a 45-44 win and a 13-12 win?

Nothing puts UC ahead of Texas, sorry.

Trying to save face from earlier in the "UC is who I thought they were thread"? Is this another one of your predictions?

Haha all joking aside, UC is just as deserving, as is TCU IMO, but it doesn't matter. Texas is getting and everybody else is left to wonder what would have happened if they were a Blueblood of College football

I'd love to see TCU-Bama..

I just think Bama would destroy Texas, for some reason...

ESPN did a nice comparison on the three tonight. I will provide what they presented, but I recalculated the opponents' win percentage because I thought TCU's was significantly lower than what ESPN presented and it was:

Cincinnati - 0 losses, 3-0 vs. top 25 teams, opponents' win percentage 0.490, points per game 39.8
TCU - 0 losses, 2-0 vs. top 25 teams, opponents' win percentage 0.486, points per game 40.7
Texas - 0 losses, 2-0 vs. top 25 teams, opponents' win percentage 0.529, points per game 40.7

These three teams are putting up similar PPG and are essentially indifferentiable when it comes to overall record and record against top 25 teams. However, when comparing the opponents' win percentages, it is apparent that Texas has played a tougher schedule than Cinci and TCU. For this reason, and the fact that the BCS does not look at margin of victory in consideration, the best case can be made for Texas.

Bama will destroy Texas. Texas had trouble with Nebraska's defense. While Neb. defense is tough it is nothing compared to Alabama's.

Alabama has a great defense, but they don't have anyone like Ndamukong Suh bearing down on McCoy every time he drops back. It will be a close game. Both teams have great defenses with Alabama's probably a bit better, but Texas has the better QB. Factor in a month of 'SEC is great' talk and 'TCU/Cincy should be there' talk and I think Texas comes out fired up and wins by a FG.
