Wonder what would have been said had it been Coach Ginn who was hitting his players at the end?

Good point. All the Ginn haters crying foul is what would have happened. Coach White is a motivator, great coach. Why does Ginn get the great athletes and cant win a big game? They were a dropped pass from this win. Ginn, Sr. didnt drop it.

What do you mean hitting players? He was letting them know, the game is not over...

They're wearing pads...this isn't Bobby Knight, the kids love him.

I don't get his comment...

Stop the Crap!! The original post was this, If it were Ginn, Sr. doing that, would the reaction have been different? thats all. No one was saying it was wrong, or it was actually hitting anyone!

Funny how when Hertler did it, I hated it, but in this case, no big deal.

I don't think Ginn would be an 'out of control' coach at all..but of course..I'm not a Ginn hater either. I didn't think it was a big deal.

Absolutely most stupid and arrogant quote of the playoffs: at halftime of D1 final, Coach Ginn is asked what adjustments Glenville needs to make. Mind you, at the time, the score is 0-0 . . . Coach Ginn says . . . "we don't need any adjustments . . . just play sound football."

Are you freaking kidding me??? I didn't have a dog in this fight, but after hearing that, I was rooting for Hilliard Davidson all the way. What coach, winning or losing, let alone tied, at halftime, does not make adjustments??? It wasn't like Glenville was dominating play at that point.

Congrats Hilliard Davidson -- you gained a new fan tonight.

In Ginn's defense..I don't think he was in his right mind there..I think he just wanted to hurry up and get the interview over b/c he was concerned about his QB.

The 'cats can always use a new fan, so I won't tell you that Coach White said pretty much the same thing at halftime in 2006. :D

Sorry, but no excuses, his response was nothing more than arrogance. He could not believe that he was in a scoreless tie with Davidson (either could I), and he assumed that his athletes would take over in the 2nd half without making any adjustments. No other quality coach in the State would have responded that way to a simple question.

Fine -- defend Coach Ginn. I have nothing against him nor his team. But they lost tonight because they didn't believe they could.

How much coaching does Ginn actually do? this was my first time seeing his team play and he looked kinda like Bobby Bowden on the sidelines.

I'm not trying to defend Coach Ginn..I'm just saying I'm not going to base the loss against something he said in a half time interview right after his stud QB got injured.

I'm not too sure that what he told a sideline reporter and what he told his team was the same.
