Sometimes it just makes ya feel better (though you end up feeling worse)! It wasn't a good news weekend for Fab1b. Have two very close family members with serious health issues developing coupled with the tragedy in Oak Harbor over the weekend I am just very down today. Saw McD's had buy one Big Mac get one for a penny, at least it will taste good!

Thanks, but what can you do? I just need to stay up, had to jump out the office for a few mins and get some bad food LOL!! Life certainly isn't always fun!

You are right. You can't do much. Just have to take the good times with the bad. Nothing wrong with indulging in fast food in times like that.

Hope you all the best with the family issues and everything going on. You always seem to be a strong person and you will keep that way. Things seem to happen when we dont want them to but they happen. It sucks to have to go through things like that but you will rebound. I lost two aunts and a cousin in a year all to cancer and now a friends daughter is fighting it. I know things will get better too, we just have to keep our heads up.

Homemade Cheesy Potatoes. Horrible for you, swimming in butter, but they always put me in a better mood.

I know the family yes. My brother grew up and ran around with Alan as kids. I haven't seen him since probably the end of high school (94 for me) but I have many friends that worked with him at Davis Besse. One very close friend and close colleague of his told me that no one saw this coming as his family also said in the paper. From all accounts he was a good guy that snapped, not defending him here just telling you all what I know. What he did is disgusting and cowardly but I think we all know sometimes good people snap in this crazy world. The 911 call he made is very chilling and sad! I don't think anyone knows why he did it, the paper said they had recently noted some marital problems but of course only the family was there and they are not here to talk. Very unusual for a place like Oak Harbor, and of course when you know those touched by this it hits closer to home even when you live 1000 miles away. My thoughts are with all my old friends and family in Oak Harbor as well as all families involved here!!

Comfort food = "really greasy food that will make you feel like shit".

Or at least that's what it always does to me.
