They played a heckuva game. Defensive speed, the ability of 3 different running backs to break arms tackles, I was very impressed with Alabama.
For Florida, it just seemed like we could never get a drive together, and drops certainly contributed to that. Defensively we couldn't tackle and made too many mistakes against the bona fide #1 team in the country.
Good luck to Alabama in the national championship!

The offense didn't surprise me. The defense looked completely uninspired. Alabama had the mental edge, too. This is one of those cases where the psychology of sports is so interesting. Alabama seemed to be on a mission this season, much like Florida was after their loss last season. This season just wasn't the same mentally or emotionally for the Gators.
Saban is a great coach and will firmly establish himself in that top group of five or six with one more win (probably already there now) and a lot of people will start looking at him as THE best. I knew when he was hired that they were going to be on top of the SEC quickly and regulars in the national title talk as well.

THe deficit was amazing....huge props to Alabama
Man....if Auburn wouldn't have crapped themselves it could have been ridiculously interesting for the title game

Maybe you need to get your nose fixed then.
I gave mad props to Alabama, they outplayed Florida. What else do you want me to say? That's I'm a smiling happy camper my second favorite team lost? You're a toolbag.

I had a bad feeling since Tuesday morning. Props to Bama they wanted it more. All good things must come to an end. Dunlap will be back for the bowl, dui will be careless driving by then. Strong was distracted by talk of being a head coach all week and it showed early in the defense. Dunlap is sick with guilt of letting his teammates down. I wish Tebow had not cried. Bama won decisively.

What are you talking about, he said Bama was the bona fide #1 team.ccrunner609 wrote: To the OP......your thread reaks of arrogance. You make it sound like Florida was the better team "but".......
Florida could only be the second most overrated team this year. Cincy easily takes the #1 spot.ccrunner609 wrote:Amazing, you made 5 excuses in this posts. 2-1. Better question, what top 25 teams did each play?ccrunner609 wrote: Cincy is 3-0 against top 25 teams. What is Florida?
I can't wait to see if Florida and Cincy get paired up in a bowl game. Florida will win by 21+ and I'd be willing to bet on it.
Cincy gave up 75+ points in their last two games (one team that was a 3 win team, Illinois).
Cincy is all offense, no defense whatsoever. They have the weakest SOS out of the top 18 ranked teams.

False....how can a team who lost 1 game and it was in the SEC champ. game and an undefeated team be most overrated? Take a look where that team from Southern Cal is currently ranked...or not ranked for that matter, there's where you'll find the most overrated team.dwccrew wrote:Florida could only be the second most overrated team this year. Obviously you didn't pick up on my tongue in cheek post. I obviously don't think Florida is overrated, however I do think Cincy is overrated.Benny The Jet wrote:False....how can a team who lost 1 game and it was in the SEC champ. game and an undefeated team be most overrated? Alabama played an outstanding game and is clearly the best team in the nation right now. Texas is a very good team also. It will be interesting to see how the Longhorns respond after their close call against the Cornhuskers. Finally, for those who question the legitimacy of the Cincinnati Bearcats claim to a BCS Game, you are getting your wish. The Florida Gators are waiting in the wings and will play the Bearcats. Florida will probably be a little peeved and Cincinnati will finally have their chance to prove that their season was no fluke and they belong with the elite teams this year. Sounds like a scenario made in heaven, doesn't it?

If Cincinnati keeps it close, or miraculously beats the Gators, I will concede and eat crow. Until then, I still think they're overrated and not a complete team. Terrible defense is not what I consider a good team.

If Dunlap gets his charge reduced to a "careless driving," then the prosecutor must be a huge Gator fan. Either that, or he is up for reelection soon.Speedofsand wrote: I had a bad feeling since Tuesday morning. Props to Bama they wanted it more. All good things must come to an end. 2nd degree misd. 1st time offense. this type dui case often gets reduced to careless. Arraignment is the 23rd. The prosecutor is an Oklahoma fan. ...Strong met all day yesterday with Louisville, but came away without an offer yet.

True. Nothing to be proud of and though it has been in different states, I know several people who have been through this and every time the charge was reduced on a first offense.Speedofsand wrote: 2nd degree misd. 1st time offense. this type dui case often gets reduced to careless.
Hopefully he comes back fired up because the whole unit was flat on Saturday.

Dunlap pleaded no contest to DUI charge. Wasn't reduced.

Forgot about this thread and just wanted to brag. I was right and I did bet on Florida and gave Cincy +20 to those who were dumb enough to bet me. Payday. Cincy=overrateddwccrew wrote:2-1.
