Why come out and say this before your bowl game?

I think he should have waited until after the Texas game tonight, and in case Texas happened to lose, waited until after the bowl match-ups were announced and then he could have said it, if UC wasn't in the NC game.

I saw that too during the UC/Pitt game. It was on the ticker.

Do you know what an almost loss is? A win.

Last time I checked an almost loss means a definite "W" but I could be wrong!

Kelly is smart. You never come right out and turn down a job. That is a stupid move regardless of whether you are planning on leaving or not.

I really want to see what his new contract looks like right now from UC. If they make him the highest paid coach in the Big East (and I expect they will) he should stay.

Mardy Gilyard said after the game today Kelly told the players he is staying. I have a feeling he is working everyone in this situation (UC, ND, the media, the fans, etc.). At the end of the day I'm hoping BK stays in Clifton. He will quickly be elevated to Woody/Bo/Bear status.

You deny BK could become a Bo/Woody to the fans at UC?

At the very least, Brian Kelly is securing himself a raise no matter who ends up cutting his paycheck. As an ND fan I like the fact that he wins games no matter where he has been. But I must say his defense today was very weak, although I believe they are very young. They were lucky to get the win.

To be in the same class as Woody, he would have to win multiple national championships.

Woody, Bear & Bo were national figures. BK Burger won't be known outside the 71-75 Split after UC goes back to its normal anonymity which will be next season.

They are a very young defense! They have only one returning starter from last years Big East Championship team on defense this year. And knowing that it makes this UC team even more valuable going into next year with a young defense that has played all year.

I feel that if it was going to be Brian Kelly, it would have already been announced. Obviously the leading candidates have all said "no" given the fact that nothing has been announced today.

UC's offense might be even better next year.

WR: Binns, Woods, Hazelton
QB: Collaros
RB: Pead

Most of the defense will be back with more experience and more muscle.
I can't wait until we play Oklahoma next year. Should be a quick jump to the top of the polls (if we don't start out in the top ten already)

They just asked him about it on the ESPN Selection Show and he didn't admit or deny anything. Just danced around the actual questions at hand.

I'd say if it is going to happen, it'll happen soon. Cincy really has nothing (well money and pride aside) to play for against Florida. No championships are on the line, so what would be the harm in ducking out and getting a head start on recruiting? It would also give Cincy some time to find the successor

He is still the guy who will end up in ND in my eyes.
