Simulate any game you want. Pick any two teams, any location. Obviously it's just a simulation, and there's a pretty big emphasis on post-season success which makes it highly flawed, but it's still a cool site.

If I get enough time today Im going to do a spreadsheet and take all the teams that were listed in the Greatest Team to not win a National Championship thread and see how they would play out against each other haha.

Well this website didn't list some of the teams that were mentioned on that thread those being:

Indiana 74-75, Maryland 73-74, UCLA 73-74, UNC 83-84 and 01-02.

But just to give you guys an idea here is how the 1994-1995 Arkansas team did. Arkansas score is listed first.

Duke 1998-1999- 68-81
Duke 2001-2002- 82-89
Georgetown 1984-1985- 76-73
Houston 1967-1968- 101-109
Houston 1982-1983- 93-85
Illinois 2004-2005- 90-85 (OT)
Kansas 1996-1997- 98-90
Kentucky 1996-1997- 76-86
Kentucky 2002-2003- 69-92
Kentucky 2009-2010- 90-80
Memphis 2007-2008- 63-72
Michigan 1992-1993- 88-82
UCONN 2005-2006- 77-86
UNC 1997-1998- 96-93
UNLV 1990-1991- 84-97

Also since it was asked which team was more talented I just did the game and the 98-99 Duke team beat the 01-02 team 87-85.

Arkansas 1994-1995 81-68
Duke 2001-2002 87-85
Georgetown 1984-1985 85-76
Houston 1967-1968 108-73
Houston 1982-1983 88-65
Illinois 2004-2005 100-91
Kansas 1996-1997 107-60
Kentucky 1996-1997 87-74
Kentucky 2002-2003 89-67
Kentucky 2009-2010 96-62
Memphis 2007-2008 97-64
Michigan 1992-1993 102-68
UCONN 2005-2006 90-85

What a stupid season. For some reason, that make believe game made it even worse. I absolutely cannot wait for November, but preparing myself for the six soul-destroying months that lie ahead.

Haha. How was your day today? I'm assuming the announcements out of The Triangle were a little stressful. I think it's going to get worse before it gets better. :)

Losing Irving is like losing Dan Marino. He's as good as it gets at his position. But, it was an expected jump. In fact, as I've said before, I would have earnestly questioned the career decision had Irving decided not to turn pro. I then would have woke the fuck up and cheered like hell that Kyrie Irving was playing for Duke. I mean, you don't get many like him. Except for the one we're getting in the fall in Austin Rivers. I think he'll have something to show.

Speaking of one-of-a-kind players, what's Black Hawk Down (or whatever he now calls himself) going to do? I'll admit, if Barnes remerges in Chapel Hill, North Carolina is going to be perceived from the get-go as a team that walks on water. You'll be damn good.

I've been doing a lot of reading, and clearly message board material needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but it seems to me that Barnes is leaning heavily toward returning. I think his heart is 100% set on staying. He loves Chapel Hill and his teammates, and he has indvidiual and team goals that he desperately wants to achieve. However, at the same time, he knows that he's probably a Top 5 pick and that's a lot of money to pass up, even if he's only doing so temporarily. In the end, I think he'll choose to pass on the money for now and come back to try to win a title.

Obviously I want him to come back, but this isn't wishful thinking on my part. It's just the vibe I get from everything I've read and heard. That said, he could declare tomorrow, but I would be shocked if that happened.

I'd take 1996 Kentucky over virtually all of the teams in the history of basketball.
I would probably lean toward 1999 Duke in the same regard, but they didn't win the title so....

^ That '96 Kentucky team once scored 86 points in a half against LSU. I'm still amazed when I watch the highlights.

What??? How can this be? There's no way Barnes is returning. ;)

I'll still be nervous until he makes it official.

In just a few hours, I have now become pretty worried about Barnes. I have been messing with S&L all along because I was almost certain that Barnes was coming back, and now that S&L has bought in, I'm not so sure. That figures.

Anyway, there are rumors about a possible press conference tomorrow. IF there's a presser, then I think Barnes is leaving. He would just release a statement, much like Zeller and Henson, if he was returning. I'm definitely hoping that there is NO press conference.

Well, there obviously was no presser on Friday. Should be a decision this week.

I hope your sources are correct, S&L. My "sources" have been saying the same thing, but I'm really just not sure anymore. I think Barnes definitely wants to come back, but the fact that he's a lock to be a top five pick may be too much to turn down. A lot of rumors flying around.

Carolina will be good without Barnes, but I think they'll be great with him. Keeping my fingers crossed.
