It's nice to reminisce back when these schools were relevant.

This should be interesting. Michigan fans don't really like the uniforms messed with. If it's truly a throwback with no other mods, I think it may fly.

As much as I love the home uniforms, the away uniforms have always been less than stellar in my opinion.\

It's the home uniforms that we/they don't like seeing messed with. The away uniforms can pretty much be w/e.

I just think it's kind of funny to have throwbacks for ND and Michigan because so little has changed over the years for both.

Notre Dame will have a pretty significant change in the jerseys for this game. Shamrocks on the helmets and UCLA like piping on the jerseys.

"We're going to have throwback uniforms. As they will," Kelly told the Tribune. "I can tell you what theirs look like -- They have a block 'M' on them, and a number, and a number on their helmet. How's that? The adidas people at Michigan are going to be (ticked) at me."

I do believe Brandon was a little pissed that Kelly let the cat out of the bag.

On another note, if Michigan and Notre Dame win their first games of the season (against South Florida and Western Michigan, respectively), and Notre Dame were to win in the Big House ( :) ) the winning percentages would be Michigan's .73414 to Notre Dame's .73311. It is getting close. If Notre Dame can 1) get Michael Floyd back and 2) have minimal injuries they could end up 10-2 at the end of the season with a .73367. If Michigan went something like 7-5 (we can only hope) then theirs would be .73306 and Notre Dame would reclaim its rightful spot as the program with the best winning percentage in history. :D

Too bad people rank by most games won. We have a 39 game lead on ya. ;)

Have they played the exact same amount of games over the years? Michigan may have won more games but could have possibly played more games thus winning percentage would be the proper way to determine the all time best.

Michigan has played more games. But it's 902 wins to 868.

I do consider winning percentage to be more indicative of on-field success.

I know. But most lists will show Michigan as #1 because they have the most wins. And it works in my favor. :D
