The Jacksonville Landing downtown will be the place to be. Hotels there isn't much by the stadium. They will be partying at the Landing especially New Years Eve! There are tons of hotels all over Jacksonville though so are you driving?

In the downtown area The Landing has tons of restaraunts/bars and that will be happening that week because of the game/New Years Celebrations and its right over looking the water. The beaches also offer plenty of night life and good restaraunts. One place I recommend is Lynch's Irish Pub in Jacksonville Beach. About a 15 minute drive from downtown. Great food, huge beer and drink selection and will be packed that week as well. Any type of food or place you specifically are looking for?

Nah, nothing specific. I just want to make sure we've got a good stable of good places to check out. We went to Charlotte for the bowl game last year and didn't get any suggestions before leaving and ended up eating at some crappy places.

There is a great gourmet place near downtown, kinda swanky called Bistro Aix if you want to impress. San Marco area near downtown offers a great strip of places for night. The Casbah is a great hookah bar/mid eastern restaraunt. That is a short 10 - 15mins from downtown.
