The "Upper Eastern Ohio Conference" will consist of two (2) divisions, each division will consist of five (5) teams. Each team will have weeks 1-4 to schedule at their own descretion. Weeks 5-10 will be designated for conference games. Each team will play the remaining four (4) teams in their division, and two teams from the other division on a rotating basis. In this format, Warren, Fitch & Boardman would make two (2) trips to Stark County a year. Each of the seven (7) Stark County schools would also make two trips to Trumbull/Mahoning Counties per year. The natural rivalries could stay intact, Warren and Lake would have to play in week 10 every year, and they would be one (1) of each others cross over games every year also.

AMERICAN DIVISION
Canton GlenOak Golden Eagles (745) Est. 1975
Massillon Jackson Polar Bears (652) Est. 1930
Massillon Perry Panthers (639) Est. 1957
North Canton Hoover Vikings (636) Est. 1924
Uniontown Lake Blue Streaks (424) Est. 1957

NATIONAL DIVISION
Austintown Fitch Falcons (650) Est. 1927
Canton McKinley Bulldogs (689) Est 1891
Massillon Washington Tigers (553) Est 1894
Warren G. Harding Raiders (710) Est. ?
Youngstown Boardman Spartans (612) Est. 1917

Take Fitch for example, they could schedule weeks 1-4 vs local competition, then they have Boardman and Warren, home or away, both pretty close, one (1) of the two Stark County schools in their division, at home, and one of the two (2) Starks from the other division (cross over game) at home, and after all that they have 8 of their 10 games at home, or near to home, and two (2) trips to Stark County.

Not all of the stadiums are big, but I believe 8 of the ten have field turf, with Perry and Hoover having natural grass surfaces. (I've seen where Jackson is putting field turf in this year.)

I really like your idea Skank, but that name stinks. I'd change it to something like "The Federal League".......

SKANK, Check out www.Vindy.com, click on SPORTS, good article dated April 5. I couldn't get the link to work, but it's titled something like "Super Conference on Ice For Now"

Gardens, I couldn't get the story to come up, but since it was the Vindicator, did it have something to do with the old SVC? Was listening to Sam Bourquin on WHBC yesterday, and he said that someone he gets information from out of the Youngstown area said that since there will be another Division I school in Y'Town, there have been some talks already about the revival of the old SVC, The way I took it was that he meant there has already been some discussion....Involving people that matter.

I like skank's proposed conferece. It is better than any conference that we currently have Stark, Mahoning, or Trubull County. I don't like the conference in the Vindy article at all. I'm not a fan of conferences with more than 10 teams. It would be nice to see Harding in a conference with Fitch and Boardman again.
