The "Upper Eastern Ohio Conference" will consist of two (2) divisions, each division will consist of five (5) teams. Each team will have weeks 1-4 to schedule at their own descretion. Weeks 5-10 will be designated for conference games. Each team will play the remaining four (4) teams in their division, and two teams from the other division on a rotating basis. In this format, Warren, Fitch & Boardman would make two (2) trips to Stark County a year. Each of the seven (7) Stark County schools would also make two trips to Trumbull/Mahoning Counties per year. The natural rivalries could stay intact, Warren and Lake would have to play in week 10 every year, and they would be one (1) of each others cross over games every year also.
AMERICAN DIVISION
Canton GlenOak Golden Eagles (745) Est. 1975
Massillon Jackson Polar Bears (652) Est. 1930
Massillon Perry Panthers (639) Est. 1957
North Canton Hoover Vikings (636) Est. 1924
Uniontown Lake Blue Streaks (424) Est. 1957
NATIONAL DIVISION
Austintown Fitch Falcons (650) Est. 1927
Canton McKinley Bulldogs (689) Est 1891
Massillon Washington Tigers (553) Est 1894
Warren G. Harding Raiders (710) Est. ?
Youngstown Boardman Spartans (612) Est. 1917
Take Fitch for example, they could schedule weeks 1-4 vs local competition, then they have Boardman and Warren, home or away, both pretty close, one (1) of the two Stark County schools in their division, at home, and one of the two (2) Starks from the other division (cross over game) at home, and after all that they have 8 of their 10 games at home, or near to home, and two (2) trips to Stark County.
Not all of the stadiums are big, but I believe 8 of the ten have field turf, with Perry and Hoover having natural grass surfaces. (I've seen where Jackson is putting field turf in this year.)
