Certainly didn't play like the #1 team in the tournament tonight.

Congratulations UK.

This is why I didn't pick the Buckeyes to win it all. The best team doesn't always win it. Kentucky couldn't have played any better, they shut down the three point line for the most part and made Sullinger work for everything. With all of that, if Buford hits the 5 or 6 open looks he missed it still wouldn't have been enough.

Oh, trust me, there was plenty more. But, he took that way too quickly.
Run some clock, down to under 15 and then make your shot.

I won't knock Diebler for shooting the three. I do question Matta not calling a timeout to get the ball into someone other than Buford's hands.

Now we have to hear Chuck and Kenny in the studio brag about how they were right about OSU losing.

OSU had the ball with 30 on the shotclock and 36 or so left in the game. The needed to take their time and not allow Kentucky a last shot. They failed and thus Kentucky had plenty of time to win it.
OSU played it really wrong down the stretch.

It's better to shoot early(teams often go for 2s in that situation) and leave the possibility to extend the game, rather than shoot late and leave little opportunity left.

I would have called a timeout simply because Diebler was trailing the play. You have to get him the last shot. Buford is the last guy I wanted to see shoot that last shot. I would have rather seen Lauderdale shoot it.

Typical Ohio State I am a big fan of the Buckeyes but when it comes to big games I just automatically think they will lose....lol hard to win games when you shoot 30%

for being a smart guy, this is one of the dumbest things to think. You are down by 3, if you get an open look you take it no matter what not to mention in the sweet sixteen

Ehhh they got a pretty good shot off, even if I rather it was someone else shooting but Buford.

Absolutely!! Buford was throwing bricks up left and right tonight! Diebler or Lighty have to take the last shot PERIOD!

Wow, talk about a mood-changer switching from the OSU-UK game to the VCU-FSU game. The arena is pretty dull -- you could hardly believe a trip to the elite eight is on the line.

And Diebler had to shoot the tying 3 early in case he missed. The game wasn't tied, they had to go early. They should have been able to get a stop, but Knight hit a shot with Craft in his shorts. Nothing you can do about that except not let it get to that point.

If it's tied then yes, take your time, don't give the opponent a chance.

If you're down three, you take the first open look and give yourself a chance at an off. rebound. Can't wait until under 5 seconds and then, BUZZER, game over.

You can never shoot the ball too early when down. So saying Diebler shot it too early just isn't right. It's not like they were tied.

You can't fault the Diebler shot at all, as everoyne has said if you are down and have the shot, you take it.

Obviously Buford, who couldn't hit the ocean if he were in a boat, probably not the best buzzer beater selection.

I was expecting a timeout... there was no momentum to ride on there, take a few minutes and set something up.

That was a hell of a game. OSU fans can't be mad about it, and it seems like everyone's been pretty classy. I'm going out to celebrate, have a good night everyone.

I would like to commend everyone for being pretty level headed and reasonable to this point. Game thread went really well.
