Also remember to move threads into here and not to delete them. Deleting individual posts is fine.

I think this needs to be kept in mind. Too often the problem with JJ was that it seemed some Mods got a little power happy and started making up rules and dabbling in grey area.

A warning could also be issued before dropping the banhammer. Just let someone know they need to tone things down a bit.

I assume this is b.c I banned SQ.. he deserved it though man.. and it was only for 1 day.

Like I mentioned earlier... I agree that he stepped over the line with the f-bomb. But name calling isn't necessarily against the rules. And he wasn't the first person to start the name calling... that would be Go Chiefs. I think this could have been handled better... instead of egging him on, maybe let him know he is crossing the line and needs to ease off with the language.

I don't think it's that great to get into it with people, go at it with them, then ban them (and yes I realize that TB banned him, not Go Chiefs).

Also, with the set of rules differing from forum to forum we have to keep in mind that they are different and enforce them so.

Obviously this place is a lot more lenient, and it needs to be moderated as such. Instead of just going straight to banning, send warnings, talk with the person.

He did assume that I called him a moron..but in reality..I was saying if you choose to go 140 on a public road..then you are a moron..wasn't really specifically calling him out on that one and saying he's a moron. If that's what you're referring to. That's just how he took it..it was all downhill from there.

While I don't know what threads those quotes by SQ came from or how much he was instigated into making them, he still should be put into the same sort of category as Peake, WLS, Sage, etc. as potential meltdowners who should be more closely watched than others.

Simple truth is that from the old Huddle days, he's always been a pretty thin-skinned dude online as far as dealing with people disagreeing with him. Here, with relaxed rules, he's adding unnecessary profanity into being thin-skinned.

I don't know the dude in the real world, but on the old/this Huddle, he just comes off as this sort of one-dimensional asshole meathead from a Revenge of the Nerds-style movie. Like whatever topic he's talking about, he knows more about it that you, so don't disagree with him or you're an idiot.

Whether things are his fault or his being lured into them, he still becomes an offensive loose-cannon when confronted. Which makes him no different from the main people we bitch about here.

Well I did go back and reread the thread..I admit I was a little out of hand on it..short tempered and it hit me on a personal level..I did PM him to apologize on my behalf..mainly so we don't have a pissing match every dang thread we get on..so we shall see what he says. I'm sure it will be something along the lines of f*ck off..but oh well..I tried.

I agree with this. I don't want this to turn into the other huddle where people just get banned. I think it looks bad for us that SQ was arguing with two mods and then, boom, banned. I would have rather seen a warning sent letting him know to cool it with the language and then start a thread in here to discuss him and whether or not he needs banned.

If someone posts porn on any forum, or threatens physical violence on another member, or starts cursing like crazy in one of the HS forums then ban them. Anything else I want to discuss it first.
