Tiger,

He may have played at Groveport, but his hometown is listed as Canal Winchester. Don't know if he transferred, moved, or that was his mailing address (probably possible to have a CW mailing address and be in Groveport's district).

Where'd you play? Sidenote: He may not actually get to play in the tourney - saw where he re-injured his knee in the conference quarterfinals and didn't play in the semis or championship.

Thanks for putting all that together. Pretty cool to see.

3 of Xavier's I wouldn't exactly call 'players' though lol.

very cool, Ohio has some serious talent in high school basketball along with many good opportunities to play D1 too.

It would be cool to see what stars they were coming out of high school but that would be a lot of work. Would be interesting to see how well we were keeping talent in the state.

Kent State is busting ass to keep a lot of Ohio kids in football, I just wish they would do the same in Basketball. Either way Kent is a good basketball program along with Akron (recently) OSU (clearly the best) cincy, and X have all been good programs in the past 10 years.

Akron has been on a different level since Dambrot took over. They've actually been in the MAC championship game the past 6 years.

As I'd also throw Ohio, Dayton, and Cleveland State as some more Ohio teams who have respectable programs.

Are the majority of Cleveland State players from Ohio?

I know that UD actually has quite a few Michigan products because Gregory goes up there under the delusion that he is still tight with Izzo.

5 from ohio, incl. their best player norris cole. Looks like Dayton has 9 from ohio and 4 from michigan.

Norris Cole who is better than Holloway..how could I have forgotten about him.

And for the record, Holloway is now 1 of 2 players to average 20 ppg, 5 apg, and 5 rpg. But Norris Cole is probably better.

And moving on..

I agree, I just said recently for Akron because I was looking at the last 10 years and like you said, they have been really good for about 6 now.

Thought I would resurrect this. After tonight's action, the only Ohio prep player left is Rob Brandenberg, who plays significant minutes for VCU.
