Louisville and marlington better win all there non league games or they will be like new philly two years ago. 9-1 and philly didn't get in the playoffs. The loss of Northwest and the addition of salem just made weak. Carrollton minerva canton south lost way to much too graduation. Down year for the NBC

Brutus I agree, Salem, South, Carrollton, Minerva, Allaince, West Branch = weak league schedule for the Leopards and the little Dukes.

could be, but we would have to see the non-league slate to know. they can all be down, but if they each go 2-1 in the first three weeks it won't matter...

Regional assignments out... noticeable items:
1. Marlington is the biggest D3 school in the state (326, 1 more boy would have put them to D2).
2. Alliance returns to D2 (Region 5)
3. In D3, Mahoning County was put back into Region 11 with Columbiana and Stark Counties, bringing WB back over with everyone else, including Salem. They had been Region 9 for the last 2 years.
4. In D2, Stark County is now Region 5, so Louisville (and Alliance) is in with more Youngstown, Akron schools.
Louisville and Alliance - D2R5
Everyone else - D3R11

It's not necessarily that Salem is weak, more that the NBC has some loaded teams in it. It's going to be night and day compared to the AAC White

East Liverpool was leading Salem 14-13 with :58 to go in the first half when the rest of the game was called off because of lightning in the area. Salem had a nice long drive for a TD and a long interception return for a TD. EL scored on a long run (about 60 yds) and a quick drive before halftime. EL's speed seemed to hurt Salem from time to time.

only place their speed hurt Salem was their RB... He was a beast.
Salem appears to be in a world of hurt in regards to the kicking game

In the Carrollton/St. Clairsville scrimmage, Carrollton was down 28-0 in the 2nd quarter before I left. I think someone said something like the final being 35-21.

I'll agree with that. Did you see the other scrimmages? I was on vacation and missed the Liberty(?) scrimmage. How did Salem look in the other games?
