A red flag has just been thrown for the race, all riders must pit for a mandatory front tire change. A few laps ago, Danny Eslick went down at 175 mph and it looked like the front tire was to blame. He scuffed his leathers so bad he changed uniforms while they fixed his bike, which he got back on and rode to the pits when he slid.
This is a first. Tire issues on the new asphalt? Maybe not, but they are red flagged in the interest of safety. Should be green again in a few minutes.
