...to mention "slavery" or "Not being slaves to the owners" during the strike/lockout? Also I'm sure someone will mention the need to feed their families.

Well they do need to feed their families, and pay for their dog fighting operations.

I think it will be civil for a bit..........both sides will pretty much keep their mouths shut...but you can guarentee a player will pop off.

I was not aware they decertified before...ut that was well before I was a heavy follower I guess.

Could get ugly.....and ust something to entertain us until the season starts.

and yes.there will be a season

I'm pretty sure these guys make (way too much in my eyes) enough to pay for some groceries.

If I had to hedge my bets, I would guess Antonio Cromartie. He seems dumb enough and loud enough to say something like that publicly.

Except he already spoke up a couple of months ago, and he called out the NFLPA.

Don't NFL players make the least amount, on average, of the major professional sports?

Yeah. Cromartie has apologized a few times through twitter to the fans. The guy just wants to play football.

Well professional athletes aren't the smartest when it comes to spending money. A lot of them probably need to play football this season to avoid going broke because they live such expensive lifestyles. Cars, houses, failed fastfood chains, etc

Ochocinco will bring up the "slave" to the owners thing first.

haha that is funny!

I'd venture to bet on a guy like Cromartie or James Harrison since he has had so many problems with the league recently, and made comments about paying fines, and how he needs to save for his kids college etc...

Some fine logic going on in this thread.

How are some of you people able to work jobs which pay you enough so you can afford internet? Is our society really this fucked?

the guy just wants to pay his child support, that's why he wants to play football.

IF there is no season wonder how many will try to have their child support reduced, a la Barry Bonds, during the lockout. He was paying like an insane amount in support...like 30k a month, and wanted it lowered to like 10 when the strike was in force.

Shit...for 30k a month...i woulday had Bonds's kid!!!!!1

Who was the dude that was made at God for dropping the TD pass? I can't think off the top of my head.

I think it'll be him.

Just heard on Sports Center before they went to the break that one of the players was comparing the NFL to modern day slavery. I'm waiting to see who it is.
