DISH HD and the Reds???

I know FOX Ohio gave DISH a mess of trouble at the end of last season.....FOX was not on DISH for a few weeks in October....it has since been back and since then I have upgraded to HD.......but the FOX HD channels on 425 and 427 (the regualr channels they always show the Reds on DISH) never show anything...all Cavs games and NCAA games are in crappy quality on the regular channels of 425 and 427.....I pray the Reds will be in HD on 425 or 427 HD.....anyone else have this or know of the answer?

I have Time Warner and the same thing happens with FSO HD for me too. Some Cavs games are shown in HD, but the majority are in standard def. If there isn't a game on the HD channel, it is off air. I think its just up to FSOhio to broadcast the games in HD. I'm pretty sure most of the Reds games aired last year were available in HD.

Yeah I would assume it would be the case with Dish also. I think at one point I emailed FSO customer service and they replied saying it was up to them to decide which games or programs are broadcast in HD. Like I said, I have never seen any regular programming on HD, just games.

Cavs are only on HD when there is no Jackets game, they have priority to the HD feed.

As for the Reds, they also lose HD priority to the Jackets. In April there are a few days the Reds will only be in standard def due to Jackets games. After their season ends all games will be on FSOhio HD.

thanks...but will Jackets be on 425HD and 427 HD? Seems like Jackets are typically on 425 and Reds are always on 427 and sometimes 425 as well.

When the Jackets play the Reds won't have an HD broadcast at all. That's all I know.

Don't know why dish has 2 FSOhio channels so I can't answer anything about that. I have Time Warner.

DISH 425 is FOX Ohio, Dish 427 is FOXCincy....so maybe I'll be in luck regarless of the mediocre hockey team.

Yeah you will get every reds game, just those games in April when the Jackets play will be only in standard def Reds broadcasts.

FSO is HORRIBLE about putting stuff on in HD, and they always have been for some reason. Even cheap ass Dolan does better with it on STO, and that's saying something.

It's on their end, not your provider. (Dish does fuck me over on STO though, they will only show games on HD even though the network runs 24/7 HD)
