What the coolest thing you have ever built or made on your own?
My wife and I first home was a condemned colonial farm house in Perrysburg.
Cedar siding, side wall/ ceiling insulation, dry wall, and door and windows, additional garage, drive way contracted out under the purchase agreement with the contractor that owned the property. I gutted it …. new electrical, plumbing, phone line, sanded hard wood floors, heating system installed and roof by me. … it took a year before we could move-in but it was truly home…

I finished our basement last spring with our daughter on the way.
I did everything except for hanging/finishing the drywall. Put the walls up, installed lighting/outlets, laid carpet tiles, installed a drop ceiling with recessed lighting, installed an HD projector and 92" screen + surround sound speakers (wiring in the walls).
I'm saving the super over-the-top theater for our next house, so this is pretty basic, but planning to have different levels of seating, a lobby area w/ arcade, candy machines, popcorn, etc, in the next place, probably 7-10 years out

I'm getting ready to start a bathroom gut and remodel for our first floor bathroom. That'll probably be it when I'm finished.

A pirate ship. With a few boards, 4 barrels, 16 nails, and a recliner. It was called the Fuck Hinn. And approximately an hour after we set sail, we realized that pirates should stick to stealing ships instead of trying to build them. We were able to save the beer and the radio. The skull-piggy-bank-bow-ornament (full of loot), unfortunately is someone's treasure to find at the bottom of the mighty Muskingum River.

An apartment complex.
Probably unfair for me to participate in this discussion.

I had some great times with that piece. My best friend is a Meatchicken fan and refused to partake if it was to be usedadog;706847 wrote:We have a winner.... I like it......................

I made a mess in the toilet about 20 minutes ago... the girlfriend yelled at me because I left the poop stains for her to clean.

When I was 13 my brother moved out and I got my own room. I was given wood kits for a dresser, desk, night stand, and 4 drawer chest. I put them together, sanded, and finished them. They are 30 year old solid wood furniture pieces now in my house.
