Kent should cruise to the finals. One thing I've learned though over the years is to never bet against Charlie, so I'll take Miami.

I think Akron has a pretty easy road to the finals. Probably will be Kent or OU on the other side of the bracket there, so i'll root for Kent. OU has bent us over both times this year.

I don't think teams that play the first round have done well historically but I could be wrong on that. Doesn't bode well for Akron or OU although moving it to the home campus might make a difference.

Ohio has actually won the thing twice without a bye (2005, 2010). Akron has once (2009). These are actually the only 3 times it has happened, so for those 2 teams it isn't that big of a deal.

Ohio has beaten both of the teams they would have to play to get to the semi's (Toledo in Athens, Ball State in Muncie). I'm going to be pissed if they don't reach the semi's.

FYI: today's groupon.com deal for Cleveland is tickets to the semifinal games. $17 for $41 seats, and that's for both semifinal games

I'm going with OU. They did it last year and have been playing much better down the stretch than they were for most of the year (had won five straight before losing at Miami to end the regular season).

All 4 East teams (seeds 5-8) beat their West foes (seeds 9-12), with the smallest margin of victory being 14. Nothing really surprising.

On to Cleveland for Thursday!

I just noticed that. No surprise the FAILwest got PWNed again. The disparity between the East and West in the MAC has to even be worse than in the SEC.

Get this, sports fans!!!!!

The MAC West looks like they're on their way to their first win of this year's tournament as West Champ Western Michigan has just about closed out Bowling Green by about 10 points.

Miami scored a whopping 10 in the first half, was down 26-10 to Akron. Shot 18% that half.

63-63 heading to OT. oops.

From 10 points in one half to 53 in the 2nd. Has to be some sort of record.

Akron pulled the same shit against EMU in the quarters last year and still got through to the finals.

Were the all-MAC teams not announced yet?
