They're pretty sure they shot it into the ocean right near where they shot a previous one that failed.

At least they're consistent.

Oh darn....another "climate change" rocket bites the dust. Apparently the rocket hit a pocket of Al Gore hot air and malfunctioned. But I'm sure this is Bush's fault.

$424 Million wasted in a bad economy. Your tax dollars at work.

You won't hear about it on national networks because it might make obama look bad. If Bush was president; it would be all over the place as a failure and waste of money. The free passes for the left continue.

Wondering why anyone would live in Huntsville! JK Huntsville is an up and coming area. My bro and my bad both live in Bama Calera and Pelham areas around B-Ham.

There are more than just those 10. The poster asked what the benefits of NASA are, and I gave some examples. Inventions, that is the benefit.

Yeah I know but still NASA has been notorious for wasting money. Like the $7 million program to make a pen that works in space when the Russians just used a pencil

I can appreciate some of it, but it seems like space exploration as a whole is a big money pit to me.

The budget for NASA is about .6% of the total budget(or about 18 billion for 2010). I think its worth it at that price.

Then tell me why? Like I said, I get some of it. And if it's useful, then it's money well spent. But what do moon rocks and pictures of a far away galaxy do for us?
