Do you think it is unprofessional when you see this: "......................................" ?

I see this on a school website, at the end of a sentence. I HATE IT! It is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. When did 47 periods find their way into the Engrish Ranguage?

Can I get serious opinions though?

I know three periods ... is considered proper English, but I don't get too freaked out when I see that rule not followed. But I suppose if that faux pas showed up on a school website, it doesn't bode well for the school system.

To me it just looks terribly unprofessional to see this being used on a school website. Facebook, OK, but on a school website? I'm sorry, but Web 2.0 should not enter the school doors.

I will esign your petition to have it removed before the rest of our society crumbles.

Terribly unprofessional. Using ellipses in anything formal (other than identifying an omitted part of a quote) is pretty unprofessional. Putting a string of them at the end of a sentence is egregious.

I see all kind of grammatical errors that bug me. In your case, if they need to emphasize, there is a mark called exclamation!

Another one I can't stand is putting a space between the last word of a sentence and the punctuation.
