I worked with a dude serving 5 yrs right now as he got busted in one of those Chris Hansen like deals. He was busted online for chatting with an under 14 and then drove from Jacksonville to near Tampa, FL to meet up and of course it was undercovers waiting for him. He is very lucky he only got 5 years. He had 12 felony charges!! Now I can't say I knew this guy all that well but he was nice guy, wouldn't have thought he would even consider doing something like that. It also made national news and he was on TV in our office on the National Fox Channel, he was terminated right then as he called in sick that day however it turned out he was in jail and the company saw it! You just never really know people!

I'm not going to lie, but I agree with your friends getting upset. It's a black eye on the district, the community, and all of its residents local and afar. It's not the citizens' fault or even the district that this is happening. The man was in his position for at least 10 years, so he's an established educator that hundreds if not thousands of parents/students have trusted with their safety; cut THEM some slack.
