Will be going on a cruise to the bahamas this weekend, any advice or tips for a first timer?

I'm arriving a day early and giving myself plenty of time to fly out after the ship docks.

Although excursions cost extra (from my experience)... they are definitely worth it.

Good advice on the room service. Take full advantage of it, even if you only want one bite of the cheesecake.

Give your dinner waiter/waitress a nice tip on the first night and they will take care of you the whole trip. They will bring you two plates or let sample everything the rest of the week.

It's worth getting up early and putting your towels out on a chair by the pool, because it will fill up.

You don't have to tip anyone anything.

Just pack it in your bag. Not your carry on bag, but the bag they take to your room for you while everyone is boarding.

I'm gonna advise not to just pack bottles of alcohol, they will usually find it. When I went on my last cruise there was a line of people from one side of the ship to the other to claim their confiscated alcohol. You have to try to hide it somehow. Scope bottles were getting confiscated too. They look for the shape of the bottle, so you have to pack it in something else to have the best chance of getting it on the boat. Of course I'm sure other people have hid bottles and got it right through.

Yeah.

I know a lady who cruises at least twice a year. They do it every time, never have a had a problem. My mom just got back from one, both her and her friend did it; not problems.

But since I told someone to do it, they will get caught lol.
