OK, is it me, or does it seem that every time OSU plays a nationally-televised game, the game before always runs long and I miss a big chunk of the half. Seems like this happens all the time ... so, why not just start the earlier game 30 minutes earlier?
Looks like this is going to happen again today. Ok rant over ...

They usually start the "second" game 10 minutes after the top of the hour. So if there's a game at 2 and 4, the 4 oclock game will start at 4:10. If this game didn't go to OT, itd be perfect timing..nothing you can do about OT games.
ESPN usually does a decent job of having the beginning of the second game on another espn affiliated channel (ESPN standard definition, ESPNu, etc.) to help this issue.

I wasn't aware ESPN3 carried games televised by CBS.

Did you guys miss part of the game??
Because here in Columbus they showed the whole game and NOT the OT in Louisville.

That was only for Ohio/Indiana residents. I think outside those states they didnt switch. BAB is out-of-state.

Yeah, I, on the contrary, was quite upset when CBS went straight to the OSU game here in Ohio, completely disregarding an overtime game that was already in progress for the past two hours between two top 15 teams. I can't remember that happening, even for a Buckeye game. Then again, I usually don't tune into a Buckeye game unless it's a really big game. They haven't won a title since 1960.

I'm a Buckeye fan and I was pissed I didn't get to see overtime. I spend 2 hours watching that game, which was great, only to get overtime jacked from me. They should have split screen it or just cut back and forth like they do for the Tourney.

How odd, I turn on CBS only to be shocked that the game before the OSU game is running late. That only happens EVERY time OSU is on CBS.

It isnt late yet. CBS doesnt start second games until 4:10 or 4:15 usually. Especially in March when they can send it to the studio if the games end on time. So in theory, it is only NOW, running late, or in 5 minutes.

Kansas fans are going apeshit that CBS cut to the Michigan/Michigan State game with 4 minutes remaining in the game and KU up by 10 against Missouri. They ended up only winning by 4 and no one knew it lol I've read some hilarious emails sent to CBS arleady lol
