LONDON (Reuters) – A specialist ice cream parlour plans to serve up breast milk ice cream and says people should think of it as an organic, free-range treat.

The breast milk concoction, called the "Baby Gaga," will be available from Friday at the Icecreamists restaurant in London's Covent Garden.

Icecreamists founder Matt O'Connor was confident his take on the "miracle of motherhood" and priced at a hefty 14 pounds ($23) a serving will go down a treat with the paying public.

The breast milk was provided by mothers who answered an advertisement on online mothers' forum Mumsnet.
Does it come in chocolate I wonder?

Do you get to pick the breast you get your milk from?

Maybe a picture menu or a lineup that you can pick from.

Sad that I was wondering the same thing. Even better if they offer "make your own" with the choice of selection

Agree, that's the only way I'd pay $23 for ice cream, if I got to draw the milk straight from the tap, so to speak.

Well that was short lived:
London council confiscates breast milk ice cream
LONDON (Reuters) – A London council has confiscated supplies of breast milk ice cream from a specialist parlour which launched the new flavour in the capital last week on concerns the frozen treat may spread viruses.

Westminster Council said it had visited the Icecreamists restaurant in London's Covent Garden and removed all ice cream containing breast milk for testing after being contacted by members of the public and the Food Standards Agency.

"Selling foodstuffs made from another person's bodily fluids can lead to viruses being passed on and in this case, potentially hepatitis," Brian Connell, Westminster Council's cabinet member for business, said on Tuesday.

He added that the owner had agreed to cease making and serving the ice cream while it was being tested.
