Calhoun will be cited but the Huskies will not receive a postseason ban.

And once again the NCAA proves they are the longest running joke in memory.

It's because he is a HOF coach. Yes, they are very hypocritical. What would the sanctions have been if he were Bruce Pearl?

3 years probation and Jim Calhoun must sit out the 1st three Big East conference games (next season). This is as dumb as allowing Tp and the gang to play in the Sugar Bowl this year.

This probably explains Calhoun's mysterious, multi week illness last season.

Bruce Pearl didn't receive anything from the NCAA.

The 8 game suspension came directly from the SEC.

You are correct. However, do you not believe the NCAA informed the SEC to suspend him, or we will? BTW, the NCAA still has that listed as an open case, meaning they could still punish him in some other silly way. I wasnt sticking up for Pearl, he is a snake.

lol

I'm pretty sure the NCAA "only" took away some recruiting privileges. Which is all that should have been done, IMO(and most analysts) the SEC commish was wrong in suspending him 8 games.

Tennessee received notice of sanctions from the NCAA today as well and is expected to make it public tomorrow.

The Vols are in deep doo-doo. Infractions of the football, basketball and baseball program. I guess the women's field hockey team forgot to get the memo. I smell "Lack of Institutional Control". If Bruce Pearl is lucky the might let him coach up at Wisconsin-Milwaukee again.

I hope the doo-doo makes it way out to Kiffin in Los Angeles.
