The most dangerous team might be #4 seeded St. Johns.

That would definitely be awesome for OSU. Wouldn't even be mildly disturbed until Connecticut/Xavier. Speaking of that, oh my god Kemba and Tu Holloway would be the most amazing thing all year period.

OSU would destroy St. Johns. But yeah, if we had that bracket, it'd be a cakewalk to the final four.

Sorry I forgot to mention BYU with the UConn/Xavier talk. Obviously they would be a challenge.

They also lost to Fordham. Depends on which SJU team you get it seems.

It'd be way too easy to say that OSU is better than those teams. Way too easy.

Sleeper couldn't identify the correct winner of the game if St. John's were playing against a baseball helmet. He'd pick the helmet. He lives in a complete fantasy land.

They have won 6 of 7, so maybe they have figured things out. They are dangerous because they have shown the ability to beat top notch teams. They also lost to Fordham. Depends on which SJU team you get it seems.

UNC lost to Santa Clara early during the Heels' 2005 national title campaign. This year, Texas lost by 17 to USC, which is 15-12. As stated above, teams can certainly learn from previous shortcomings and become great basketball teams. St. John's is not great, but they are exceptionally good.

All in MSG. They are average if best on the road. Not an easy game, but the Bucks would pull away in a game.
Assuming UCONN/ BYU make it, that would OSU's hardest game. UNC has been streaky this year, so they could be hot. Still, an ideal bracket for the Bucks.

I would rather play BYU than St. John's. Any team that is capable of beating the teams that SJU has is formidable. I like BYU and Jimmer, but they don't have the athletes to play with OSU. whichever #1 gets BYU as a #2 will be getting a break, IMO.Assuming UCONN/ BYU make it, that would OSU's hardest game.

Carolina will not be a 5.
They are a 3 or a 4 and POSSIBLY could make their way to the 2 line depending on how things go.

I see them as a 3 or 4 no way they get a 2.

If they win the ACC regular season and the ACC Championship, they will have beaten Dook twice in less than a month. That would, IMO, bring them into the top 10 in the rankings. Their RPI is already a plus and the SOS is a plus.

Granted I don't think it will necessarily happen, but it is a definite possibility IMO.

Didn't see it. Was typing on my phone. It would be nice for them to beat Duke twice.

Only bringing this up for the Carolina talk in it lol
IMO Carolina is 2 regular season wins and 2 wins in the ACCT away from being a 2 seed. They are up to 13th in both polls, 10th in the RPI, and 14th in SOS(depending on who's you use).

If Carolina beats Duke they would get consideration, but as it is right now, barring some bad losses, the top 7 seeds are pretty much locked in with Ohio State, Kansas, BYU, Pittsburgh, Duke, Purdue, and Notre Dame. Texas would have had that last spot before tonight, but I would still have Florida and Wisconsin clearly ahead of UNC, and Texas, San Diego State, and Georgetown right there with them.

I know the polls don't really mean all that much, but Florida is ranked below Carolina in both. Carolina has way more potential to move up than Florida does.
And just curious, what exactly has Florida done to say that are "clearly ahead" of Carolina?

North Carolina: 4-4 vs. top 50, 12-5 vs. top 100, 14 SOS, tied for the ACC lead

But yet Lunardi still has them as a 4 and on the decline, while Carolina is a 3 and on the upswing.....
Florida has 3 losses to teams in the 100's in the RPI to Carolina's 1.

Yes, but Florida has so many more top 50 wins to counter that. This is also assuming Florida wins the SEC. If Florida loses early in the SEC tournament and UNC makes the ACC final, then my opinion could change. Maybe Lunardi weighs bad losses more heavily than good wins. I don't know.
