Before you say automatically Yes, consider this. He did not even receive enough votes to be included on the list that gets voted on in April.

I didn't think automatically yes, I honestly dont think he is a HOFer. Only played half the game (no def), and was a 3pt specialist.

Yes.
He's a legend of sorts, that helps his cause. And moments are big in the NBA--they're big in winning MVP's, legacy, highlights, etc. Reggie had a lot of big moments during his career.

And looking at the list, there are some guys who definitely deserve in before him, but some who don't as well. IMO.

The basketball hall of fame includes every level of basketball that exists.
It's not just the pro basketball hall of fame.
He'll get in.

Yes, but the era which he played was dominated by excellent players, so that may be why he is not on a ballot.
He was Mr. clutch during that three year run in the mid 90s for the Pacers.
Who can forget the epic battles with the Knicks, especially the 94 series.
And don't you kind of have to put the number 2 guy for 3 pointers in the HOF?

Yes. He was a 3 pt specialist, but he actually was a much more complete offensive player than that.

Reggie in my opinion is one of the most underrated players in NBA history. He is another victim of being overshadowed in the Jordan era. He took a small market team in Indiana to 5 Eastern Conference Finals and one NBA final, despite never really playing alongside another 'superstar'. And he might be one of the top 3 most clutch players the NBA seen the past 20 years.

I still have not seen a link to the actual list, only leaked info. But if he is not on the list I think his journey to the HOF will be similiar to Dominique Wilkins, only Reggie should not have to wait as long as the Human Highlight did.
