No shock here IMO. He wanted to stay close to home and play with former teammates. I thought Clemson's class and pedigree with Da'Quan Bowers could potentially sway him. Clemson is close by too.
Now that he is at USCe that gives them 31 players in this class. Thoughts go out to those 6 upperclassman that will suffer a "serious injury" and be released from their athletic scholarships.

Dude has been a Gamecock for a long time. We at Clemson never thought we would get him, and I am pretty sure he just wanted to jerk our fans along. We have some solid DEs anyway and signed some killer LBs, so whatever.

Seriously, this is a sad situation. People really don't realize just how big of an advantage it is to be able to oversign like this. As someone said, the SEC already had a huge advantage with locations and weather. Add in this oversigning...and we see why the SEC has been so dominant. The NCAA really needs to step in and do something about this unfair advantage.
BTW, here is an article in the Dispatch, which quotes Gerry DiNardo who coached in both the SEC and Big 10.

Its not illegal, other conferences choose not to do it.

He is good but I think he got out played in his all star game by some white kid that is going to FSU that was on his team. Also the kids in the AA all star game were more impressive. Good pickup, but way too much hype especially since everyone knew he was going to USC a long time ago.

Wow, did I say it was illegal? No, i didn't. But its an unfair advantage, period. Thats a FACT. And it needs to be fixed. Is that hard for you to understand or are you going to twist that as well?

Cry me a river! It wouldnt matter if the B10 got more players, it will still be the 2nd-4th best conference. Nobody wants to play in the boring north when all the competition,titles, best coaches, best weather is down south. Having top classes with 5*'s and 4*s with good coaching makes you a champion. Thats why the SEC has MULTIPLE teams with titles instead of one school with one title like the Big 10.

And also I might add, OSU has more of an advantage then most teams in the country. They dont have many good teams up north to compete with in recruiting while the SEC has most of its teams in the top 25 in recruiting/they have to recruit vs. Miami, FSU, Clemson, Texas, Okla....etc. So, I think OSU is in a great position for recruiting. How many schools in the Big 10 are powerful recruiting schools?

That's under the assumption that quality of player, amounts of players are equal. The south has more talent so it can support the larger amount of top 25 schools. Plus one article I read discussed the migration of people leaving Ohio may impact the quality of sports. Lower amounts of kids in Ohio means less homegrown talent for the Bucks. Look at the migration map below and click around Ohio. He'd probably have to sit for a couple years at a real school like OSU, Texas, or USC(pre-hammer). He'll fit right in a S.Car, easiest division in college football, and consistently underachieving.

The Big Ten has more titles, best coaches/weather/competition is all subjective.
