The Division II field is set for the Coschoton Sectional. All games to be played at Coschoton HS. The Top 4 seeds in order were Zanesville, John Glenn, Maysville and Dover. The #3 seed, Maysville, chose to jump into the bracket with the #1 seeded Blue Devils.

Upper Bracket
2/22
6pm - Philo (5-14) v Indian Valley (2-16)
Winner to play #1 Zanesville (16-2) 2/28 @ 6pm

8pm - Mogan (0-19) v New Philadelphia (10-7)
Winner to play #3 Maysville (15-4) 2/28 @ 8pm

Lower Bracket
2/24
6pm - River View (0-18) v West Holmes (7-14)
Winner to play #3 Dover (12-6) 3/3 @ 6pm

8pm - Minerva (5-13) v Claymont (1-17)
Winner to play #2 John Glenn (16-2) @ 8pm

Two teams will advance to play in a 1 game district against the winners from the OU-Belmont sectional. The district will be held at OU-Belmont this year.

Interesting that Maysville preferred a possible match-up with Zanesville over JG although neither'd be a walk in the park.

This is just Maysville being stubborn and cocky, thinking that they are better than Zanesville. They gave Zanesville everything they could handle, but that was last year, this year, Zanesville will be more focused.

Perhaps they preferred Zanesville in the sectional over Carrollton at the district.

Great effort by Phila, they nearly took out Maysville. Impressive improvement in the Quakers over the course of the season - too bad every team but one has to end their season with a loss.

I think the West Holmes - Dover game should be a good one. If it is low scoring I'll take Dover, if the game gets in the 50's I'll take West Holmes.

this is pretty much the rule for any Dover game.

Dover knocked the Little Muskies out of the sectional last year. John Glenn smoked Dover this year by about 25 points in Muskieland. These teams have met at least once a year since the 2002 season, so there will be no surprises

Updated after the Lower Bracket contests on Thursday.

"John Glenn defeated Minerva 53-47"
JG squeaked by on that one! Minerva had that W in their pockets but let a handful of stupid offensive ball handling turnovers lose the game for them.
Shame - you can't just give the ball away like that and expect to win against this JG team.

I didn't know Cole could throw down like that. Was that his first dunk in a game?

No he had a huge one over/around a kid at East Liverpool. I believe that this was his second of the season.
