Does your school have any open dates for the 2011 season?

Mooney has 4 open weeks from what I'm hearing.

Fitch is full for 2011, but many open in 2012. Be good to see those two get together again.

Nice, write a check with YOUR mouth, that the Buchtel kids have to cash. Mooney/Akron North?

I've heard from several people 4cards, that Massillon is in talks with Mooney and Ursuline, one or the other to fill their week 6 spot.

The Griffs spanked Mooney last season. North's schedule is full.

They must be trying to fill it on their own and didn't send it to the OHSAA. Also, they're only listed for 6o days, so their listing may have expired and maybe they didn't renew it (yet).

Id like to see PH pick up Ironton. Both open week 9. Long trip but what a game it would be.

Last year is last year, I guess you're right though, from what I hear and read, Buchtel is "assembling" some real talent up there.

Kids are flocking to Buchtel. They will be very strong and deep. BTW, they will once again be super quick and fast. Look for the Griffs to challenge for the D II state hoops title and a track titles (girls and boys) this Spring.

If the OHSAA allows it.

Why wouldn't they allow it? Are you hinting that a PUBLIC school might be doing something illegal. I highly doubt it. Not in Viking's back yard.

Buchtel might not get the Firestone five, but they are getting other kids. They are getting kids from all other. IMHO, the Firestone five will play in the Fall at Buchtel. APS will do everything that they can so those kids can play at their neighborhood school.

I've heard that Massillon is talking about a home and home deal with Akron SVSM starting in 2012 and that the Irish home game will be played at InfoCision Stadium. Why won't the Paper Tigers play Buchtel in Akron?!?

Why did those kids leave their, "neighborhood" school in the first place? And why all of a sudden is the school good enough? Just wondering.

First of all, their stadium is about the size of my left shoe, secondly, maybe our administration is concerned with the safety of our fans. I've seen first hand how the Buchtel fans behave themselves at OUR place, I can only imagine how we would be treated at their place. Maybe, as we walk into the stadium, they could just have large cardboard boxes set up, and upon entrance, we could just drop our wallets and valuables in the box....You know, to save the Buchtel fans the time and effort.
