I'm looking for a golf resort/package that has at least two courses but prefer three within 4 or 5 hours of Columbus. Trying to put together a mini golf trip of probably 4 days/3 nights. Anyone have any suggestions?? But not Oglebay, we do that in the Fall

Just for consideration, they are having the Super Golf Sale at the Lausher Building on the OSU fairgrounds, and they are also having the Columbus Sports, Vacation and Boat Show at the same time(not sure which building). Might be worth stopping by to see if they have anything like that.

I would love to go to Greenbrier, but that will be a little to steep for some of our group unfortunately.

Nemacolin Woodlands in PA or Lakeview in Morgantown. Of the two, Nemacolin is probably better, newer and more expensive, but I've played Lakeview before, and although the Lodge isn't brand spanking new, the golf was pretty good. If you want flat golf, I don't think these are your choices, although Mountview/Lakeview wasn't too bad (I am used to hilly courses). For flatter courses, think of the cincy area.

I did a quick look a the websites, I think Nemacolin is steep, and I am ready to book some of the weekend packages at Lakeview, like 2 nights, 3 rounds of golf, 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners for $269. Sounds crazy to me, but....

...not sure if this will help, but here's a link to make up your own golf packages in Ohio.

We are looking to go to Glade Springs Resort near Beckley, WV. Courses looked pretty nice and prices seemed reasonable.

Also, if you don't mind a few hours extra drive Pinehurst, NC seems to have some pretty good deals and some fantastic courses.

If you can create a package involving both Chippewa and the Quarry I would suggest doing this.

How about a close one to Columbus - Longenberger and Eagle Sticks in Zanesville. They have deals thru May to play both and stay at Comfort in in Zanesville for very cheap price.

I leaning towards doing this. Would Shale Creek be another good course to add for a 3rd course or would Medina CC be better?

Shale Creek, The Quarry and Medina CC are all owned by the same group. You might even get a better deal packaging those three together.

I'm not saying don't do this, as the Quarry and Chippewa are both nice places to play. But if you are just staying in northeast Ohio you may want to look at playing Little Mountain and Stonewater. Pretty sure they have a package that is somewhere around 150-200 for the 2 courses. EXCELLENT places to play.

If you are looking for something a little more challenging, a buddy and me were scoping out places to play and he suggested the French Lick Pete Dye course. Now he is actually a good golfer (mid 80s for me on normal courses). I got as far as the 8,102 yards, course rating of 80.0, slope of 148, price of $350.00 plus caddie, and I reprogrammed my GPS to never navigate within 50 miles of that course. I don't think I want any parts of it, I will let the good golfers/pros "eat" that course up.
