Your thoughts? I would personally love it if it were played on Sat. instead of Sunday.

No, simply because there is a bit of a hangover after the game, and who wants to waste a day off work with a hangover.

If that Saturday is in January, I'd be ok with it.

I would personally like it on Saturday, it just makes sense to me...but let's all be realistic here...it doesn't matter what day its on, people will still watch it and not really think about what day it is.

Pro football is a Sunday game. The Super Bowl should be played on Sunday, 1:00 if in the East, 4:15 if in the West.

Yes. I am a traditinal guy on alot of things...but I want it on saturday.

The landscape has changed. NFL plays Monday night...thursday night...and saturdays late and playoffs.

If it stays sunday...i like the 630 start..the later...teh better...the more in primetime!

Its all about the TV viewers and the advertising $$$ (as we all know). Traditionally there are more viewers watching TV on Sunday nights, as opposed to Sat night. I agree people would still watch on a Sat night, but I dont think as many fringe fans would.

As far as the start time. It will never be an afternoon game. There is too much money in the prime time advertising.

No saturdays, drop the roman numerals, and kickoff at 6:00!

Sunday is better. How about just making the SB a national holiday and giving everyone off Monday?

You want them to drop the Roman numerals after 46 years? Good luck with that ever happening.

And kickoff was at 6:29.

Super Bowl 50 will be Super Bowl L... so I do agree with dropping the roman numerals at some point.

Yep. Numerals are just getting silly this deep in. 46 years ago the game needed to do things to get attention. Now it's practically a national holiday.

You've (TV people) have had all day to dissect the game and sell commercials. Kick it off at staight up 6:00

Kick off is around 629 right now. Keep the roman numerals....its looks cooler than just a number!

Plus........it is a talking point, and educational as I taught my wife, and daughter, how to read them.

Would prefer it on sat nite....but as it is now I cannot complain!

There was a Super Bowl V and Super Bowl X. Don't see the big issue with Super Bowl L. Why? Because people aren't that familiar with the roman numbering convention past I, V, and X?

There's a sense of symbolism tied to the direct # (how would Super Bowl 50 be any better?) opposed to what year or season it is after. Name me off hand who won the 1996 World Series. Probably a little more difficult. If you ask who won Super Bowl XXI, it might be a lot easier to remember it was Giants 39, Broncos 20, for instance. It's a signature event, rather than another version of the same thing every year. One of the major reasons I'm against the league doing away with unique logos for the Super Bowl and going to that Trophy-above-the-numerals-in-Gray logo they started this year.

I think it was scheduled for 6:29 but I don't believe it happened until 6:32. Can anyone confirm that??

I wonder in Super Bowl 30....XXX...where the steelers played the cowboys....if any strip clubs in that area took advantage of that and put used the XXX logo in their clubs!

I think it is very unique. I looks better than what the UFC does and just puts the number UFC 133 or whatnot. I like it better than the year....Super Bowl 2011....does not sound as cool as Super Bowl 46...and def not as cool as SUper Bowl XLVI.....

I have no idea the actual kickoff...but yeah it was schedule for that time...but in the SB...with al that extra stuff they do in pregame.......it can easily be backed up
