OK, this is just too stupid to be made up. The good folks over at the EPA have decided that milk, yes that's right I said milk, merits the same regulation as oil.

This is fucking stupid. Lets spend millions of dollars and cause the prices of all milk products to skyrocket even higher. Didn't Obama say something in the SOTU about decreasing regulation for businesses? It seems like he needs to reign in the EPA, quickly.

It appears that the Environmental Protection Agency, in a story too weird to be fiction, has decided to regulate milk in the same way it does oil. In effect, milk spills will be considered just as hazardous as oil spills.
"The EPA rule requires farms — as well as places that make cheese, butter, yogurt, ice cream and the like — to prepare and implement an emergency management plan in the event of a milk catastrophe. Among dozens of requirements, farmers must train first responders in cleanup protocol and build 'containment facilities' such as dikes or berms to mitigate offshore dairy slicks.
"These plans must be in place by November, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture is even running a $3 million program 'to help farmers and ranchers comply with on-farm oil spill regulations.' You cannot make this stuff up."

The EPA needs to be dismantled before they kill off the last remaining industries and jobs left in this country. The agency has been hijacked by marxists who are hell bent on winning the war against capitalism. It is a national travesty.

I'm thinking that when farmers have milk spills, they can simply let it stand and ferment into cheese.
Then the Feds can have another round of free gubmint cheez giveaways. Anyone remember those days?

I remember when I was very young helping my family pass out food boxes from our church. There was always a box of cheese in there, shaped similar to velveeta boxes. I also remember the people who were getting the food boxes always looking to make sure that box of cheese was in there, too! lolbeliever;668781 wrote:I'm thinking that when farmers have milk spills, they can simply let it stand and ferment into cheese.

This ranks up there with the $1000 hammer and other wasteful programs.
I'm sure there is a rational, but given the budget issues, I'm sure it makes no sense.

It's official. If the EPA was a man, I'd kill him in the nuts.

There probably are reasons for this but this isn't the way to go about this. Especially now.
If they wanted to educate people on how to deal with the problems of milk slicks or spills, which is hilarious to type, then they could have made a website or pamphlets with information or something. Mandating this type of thing seems absurd.
And I'm usually defending the EPA on here.

Next time you spill a glass of milk call 911 and the local EPA office and report the spill. I am curious to see their reaction.
