Glad to see she's thinking of the children, much like Tiger obviously was.

If I'm Tiger and she says this to me, I'm going to court and getting custody of kids and giving her nothing. If she did truly say this he has a heck of a case that all she cares about is the money, and how he may have made mistakes, he still wants whats best for the kids and blah blah blah.

I would think that would work. *shrug*

But he couldn't hire a lawyer to make his wife look bad(if she actually said this, made herself look bad) who only wanted to stay together for money and not for the kids?

Is it that she WANTS this, or it's what's written into their agreement?

I'm skimming/reading the article, so I may have an answer in a second.

Fathers rarely get custody, particularly in light of recent deveopments. Yeah, he could smarm her around about the money but it's less expensive to go with the original pre-nup and be done with it. Jury would give custody to mom and you can take that to the bank.

I'm sure he could pull a domestic violence case out of the woodwork.

Tiger's camp believes (rightly so) that his wife staying with him is the key to keeping all of his endorsements, as they fear her leaving him and going through a messy divorce will tarnish his image with many of his corporate sponsors.

Tiger stands to make another billion over the next decade, if paying his wife 60 million assures him of that money it is money well spent.

Why take a chance on losing your meal ticket (it isn't golf earnings that made him a billionaire) when you can have a sure thing for under 10% of your future earnings?

I don't buy Nike golf shirts because Tiger is a husband, I buy it because he's beast. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't really care about all this.
