We have more than enough to spare. The Illegal can become citizens, get VA care, get off welfare, have medical insurance and they are signed up to pay income tax to support the war and we don't have to send real Americans (kinda like our own UN within the Army). But the best part is we can use Stimulus money to create the soldier jobs and lessening the cost of 1 million per soldier.

Actually, many do take this option. There are many naturalization ceremonies while people are deployed. Now, they could offer this more as an option or force conscription perhaps. But, only if they meet the physical criteria to join.

If I go with that "stinkin' thinkin'" this is what I come up with....

Illegal become US citizens.
But they are not "real Americans".
But if they pay taxes, etc.? Need to define "real Americans" I guess.

And if the "illegals" become US citizens and go to "Stan's Place" to fight: how does that save money? And why are they "treated differently" if they are US citizens? Do we have different class citizenship then? Save money in their being there....less equipment, supplies, etc. since they are not "real Americans"?

I have no problems with people wanting to come live in America. BUT, please, go through the proper channels. There are people who have been waiting to come and be an American for a long time. It's not fair to those people to just assimilate illegals for ideology.

i agree 100%. last semester a gilr was giving a speech about immigration and stuff. i voiced my opinion about how i have so nuch hatred for illegals. she went off on me, calling me racist and so forth. i told her that i have no problem with LEGAL immigrants. it is just wrong these illegals come over here and cheat the system.

I don't think America should become a total isolationist country. However, I do think they should try a couple of steps of it. We worry so much about helping this country or that country...
We send billions of dollars to other countrys for hungry children, homeless families, natural disasters, etc.
And yet, we have millions of those situations here in our own backyard!
It doesn't make sense to me!

Name some that haven't? Also, I never said to isolate. By closing the borders, I mean not allowing illegals in. Sorry Canada and Mexico, we need our military on the borders to protect us from terrorists and illegals that are draining our country.

I believe the US should be a non-intervenionist country, not an isolationist country.
